April 2nd, 2023: LG Electronics announced today that it has received the "Eye Comfort" certification from TÜV Rheinland, a leading global testing and certification company, for its OLED screens. The certification confirms that LG OLED screens emit a low level of blue light, which can be harmful to the eyes.

With the increasing amount of time we spend at home, our TVs have become an important part of our daily routine. However, the blue light emitted by electronic devices can have adverse effects on our eyes, including dryness, strain, and even myopia. To address these concerns, LG has developed OLED screens, which emit low levels of blue light, eliminate flicker, and reduce glare.

OLED screens are superior to traditional LCD screens in terms of their low blue light emissions. TÜV Rheinland has certified LG OLED screens for emitting the lowest possible level of blue light, and they have achieved the highest safety rating from UL. Independent testing agencies have also supported these claims with additional certifications.

"Watching TV has become more enjoyable and comfortable, and less worrisome with LG," said a spokesperson for LG Electronics. "We encourage customers to try our OLED screens and experience the comfort and peace of mind they provide."
