Introduction

Experience restaurant-quality salmon at
home using
LG's Air Sous-Vide Cooking Mode. This method ensures precise temperature control, keeping the salmon moist, flaky, and infused with delicate flavours.

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • • 2 tsp olive oil
  • • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Herb Butter:

  • • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
  • • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • • 1/2 tsp lemon zest

Preparation Steps

Preheat and Prepare Sous-Vide Cooking:

  • • Select the Air Sous-Vide Mode on your LG oven. Set the temperature to 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare salmon or adjust to your desired doneness. Allow the oven to preheat.

Season the Salmon:

  • • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • • Rub olive oil over each fillet and season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Drizzle lemon juice on top.

Vacuum Seal:

  • • Place the salmon fillets into vacuum-seal bags or resealable freezer bags. Remove as much air as possible using a vacuum sealer or by submerging the bag in water to expel air before sealing.

Cook Sous-Vide:

  • • Place the sealed salmon in the LG oven, ensuring even spacing. Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the thickness of the fillets

Prepare the Herb Butter:

  • •In a small bowl, mix softened butter, dill, parsley, and lemon zest until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Sear for Finishing Touch (Optional):

  • • Remove the salmon from the bag and pat dry. Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat, and quickly sear each side of the salmon for 30 seconds for a crispy exterior.

Serving Suggestions

  • • Serve the salmon on a bed of sautéed spinach or steamed asparagus.
  • • Top each fillet with a dollop of herb butter and garnish with a lemon wedge for added zest.

Storage and Reheating

  • • To maintain the tenderness, reheat the salmon in the LG oven using the Air Sous-Vide mode at 130°F for 10–15 minutes, or until warmed through. Avoid microwaving to prevent overcooking.
