Salmon using LG Air Sous-Vide Cooking Mode
Transform your kitchen into a gourmet haven with LG's Air Sous-Vide Cooking Mode, which ensures perfectly cooked salmon every time. This technique locks in moisture and enhances the natural flavours of the fish, creating a tender, melt-in-your-mouth experience.
Preparation Steps
Preheat and Prepare Sous-Vide Cooking:
- • Select the Air Sous-Vide Mode on your LG oven. Set the temperature to 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare salmon or adjust to your desired doneness. Allow the oven to preheat.
Season the Salmon:
- • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- • Rub olive oil over each fillet and season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Drizzle lemon juice on top.
Vacuum Seal:
- • Place the salmon fillets into vacuum-seal bags or resealable freezer bags. Remove as much air as possible using a vacuum sealer or by submerging the bag in water to expel air before sealing.
Cook Sous-Vide:
- • Place the sealed salmon in the LG oven, ensuring even spacing. Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the thickness of the fillets
Prepare the Herb Butter:
- •In a small bowl, mix softened butter, dill, parsley, and lemon zest until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Sear for Finishing Touch (Optional):
- • Remove the salmon from the bag and pat dry. Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat, and quickly sear each side of the salmon for 30 seconds for a crispy exterior.
Serving Suggestions
- • Serve the salmon on a bed of sautéed spinach or steamed asparagus.
- • Top each fillet with a dollop of herb butter and garnish with a lemon wedge for added zest.
Storage and Reheating
- • To maintain the tenderness, reheat the salmon in the LG oven using the Air Sous-Vide mode at 130°F for 10–15 minutes, or until warmed through. Avoid microwaving to prevent overcooking.
